II. Silent Avant Garde films 3. Le Voyage dans la Lune a film by Georges Melies (Le Voyage dans la Lune | A Trip to the Moon) I was quite amazed by this film and its astounding effects that were really ahead of its time, the time being 1902. It was such an ambitious film in a sense that it was very well produced. The set, the costumes and the effects were very detailed and well crafted! It may be an interesting fact to know that Milies and his wife acted in this film :) I highly do recommend this film! Especially if you want to see and learn the growth of film. If you’re a fan of effects and snazzy camera tricks then this film is for you! The Grand daddy of it all!
